Unemployment drops to 4.9% in June in Australia and the economy adds about 29,000 jobs

Data released this morning, Thursday, July 15 (July) in the Asian session from the Australian Bureau of Labor Statistics, showed that the unemployment rate fell to 4.9% in June, compared to 5.1% in May, to come better than the market expectations that indicated its stability at May rates, while the economy added About 29.1 thousand jobs in June, compared to 115.2 thousand in May, and better than expectations that indicated the addition of about 19.7 thousand jobs, bringing the total employment to 13.154.200 million people. In contrast, participation rates in the labor market stabilized at 66.2%.

In details, full-time employment rose by 51,600 thousand jobs to 9,016.800 million people, while part-time jobs fell by 22,500 thousand jobs to 4,137.400 million people.

The Australian dollar is trading at 0.7469 levels against the US dollar at the beginning of the European session, after testing 0.7490 levels at the beginning of the session.
