The US market indices recorded a mixed performance when they closed the opening session of the week yesterday, Monday, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed with declines, while the Nasdaq and S&P 500 indices recorded gains during the session. The rises in technical stocks supported the rises of the Nasdaq index specialized in the technology sector, led by Apple and Microsoft, which were among the best performing companies, as Apple’s stock rose by 2.46% at the close at 130.48 levels, while Microsoft’s stock closed at 259.89 levels, up by 0.78%. The stock of AMC, which specializes in the American cinema and entertainment sector, was one of the most active stocks, with gains during the opening session by about 15% and closing at levels of 57 dollars. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down by about (85) points at the close at 34.393 levels, a loss of about 0.25%, and is now trading in futures for today’s session, Tuesday, at 34.288 levels, up by about 13 points. On the other hand, the S&P 500 index recorded highs at the close at 4.255 levels, a rise of about (7 points), recording increases of about 0.18%, and it is now trading in futures at levels of 4.250, up by about 5 points. While the Nasdaq index recorded increases by (104 points), to close the session at 14,174 points, recording increases of about 0.74%, and it is now trading at 14.138 levels, up by about 20 points.
