Data released moments ago by the US Bureau of Economic Analysis showed an increase in US personal income by $9.72 billion in February, or 0.3%, while the PCE index, the preferred indicator for measuring inflation for the US Federal Reserve, rose by 0.2% on a monthly basis.
On the other hand, the main excluded index rose. of food and energy prices by 0.3% compared to 0.6%. The annualized index rose to 5.0% in February compared to 5.3% in the January reading, exceeding expectations that indicated a slowdown by 4.9%.
