From Canada, where the Statistics Canada Department announced that the Canadian economy added 60,000 jobs in June, an increase of 0.3%, compared to the loss of about 17,000 jobs in May, while expectations were to add 19,000 jobs.
On the other hand, the unemployment rate rose to 5.4% from 5.2% in May, when it was expected to rise to 5.3%, while the total working hours were almost unchanged in June, while they rose by 2% on an annual basis, and the average hourly wages increased by 4.2% on an annual basis in June after an increase of 5.1% in the May reading.
