Cryptocurrencies traded higher in midday trading on Monday, November 10th, the opening session of the week, after a series of declines last week. This surge was fueled by increased risk appetite in the markets, driven by optimism surrounding the end of the government shutdown. Bitcoin recovered to levels above $105,000, while Ripple led the gains with increases exceeding 11%.

US media sources reported this morning that Republican and Democratic members of the Senate had agreed on a bill to fund the government until January 30th, temporarily ending the US government shutdown, the longest in history, which began in early October. This agreement further boosted risk appetite in the markets.

The combined market capitalization of cryptocurrencies, according to CoinGecko, which tracks more than 17,000 cryptocurrencies, rose by 4% today, Monday, to trade at $67.3 trillion. Bitcoin is trading at $106,478, up approximately 4.18% in midday trading, with its market capitalization reaching $2.123 trillion. Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency, is also up by about 4.56%, trading at $3,610 with a market capitalization of $435 billion.

XRP (Ripple), the fourth-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, is leading the top 10 cryptocurrencies today with gains of approximately 11.71%, trading at $2.54 with a market capitalization of $152 billion. This comes after the exchange’s depository and settlement company announced the listing of several new cryptocurrencies in an update.

Dogecoin rose by approximately 3.62%, trading at $0.1827, with a market capitalization of $27 billion. Cardano also saw gains, rising by about 5.49% to trade at $0.5961, with a market capitalization of approximately $21 billion.

Solana climbed by roughly 6.64%, trading at $169, with a market capitalization of $93 billion. TRON (Tron) gained 1.96%, trading at $0.2947, with a market capitalization reaching $30 billion.
