Canada’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.3% in June, according to data released moments ago by Statistics Canada. This marks the third consecutive month of growth and matches May’s reading, exceeding expectations (0.2%). The growth was driven by strength in the services sector.

Specifically, the services sector grew by 0.4%, fueled by growth in wholesale and retail trade and public administration. Meanwhile, the goods-producing sector declined by 0.1%, with contractions in the mining, quarrying, and oil and gas sectors.
