Retail sales in the UK increased by 0.7% in June compared to a rise of 0.1% in May, revised from 0.3%, while expectations were for a rise of 0.2%.
In details, sales volumes in food stores increased by about 0.7% in June after a decrease of 0.4% in May, while sales of non-food stores increased by about 1% after a decrease of 0.5%, while sales of motor fuel stores decreased by 0.3% after an increase of 1.7% in May.
