{"id":3864,"date":"2022-04-05T06:13:59","date_gmt":"2022-04-05T06:13:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fayezalajmi-4x.com\/?p=3864"},"modified":"2022-04-05T06:19:20","modified_gmt":"2022-04-05T06:19:20","slug":"the-reserve-bank-of-australia-keeps-its-monetary-policy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fayezalajmi-4x.com\/en\/the-reserve-bank-of-australia-keeps-its-monetary-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"The Reserve Bank of Australia keeps its monetary policy and the Australian dollar at its highest level since June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0The Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank of Australia decided, in its meeting this morning, Tuesday, April 5th, to keep monetary policy and the current interest rates at 0.10%, unchanged as expected.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The bank said in a statement that the Australian economy remains resilient and that spending is rebounding after the Omicron setback and that the real strength is evident in the Australian labor market, where unemployment rates have fallen to 4% in February and the underemployment rate is at its lowest level in years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Inflation in Australia has risen to 2.6% and 3.5% in basic terms, but remains lower than it is in many other countries where the increase in the prices of oil and other commodities is causing inflation to increase.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Board\u2019s policies during the pandemic have supported progress towards the goals of full employment and inflation in line with the goal and that the Board wants to see actual evidence that inflation is within the target range of 2-3% in a sustainable manner before it raises interest levels.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ccvoYb EjH7wc\">\n<div class=\"AxqVh\">\n<div class=\"OPPzxe\">\n<div class=\"dePhmb\" aria-live=\"polite\">\n<div class=\"eyKpYb\" data-language=\"en\" data-original-language=\"ar\" data-result-index=\"0\">\n<div class=\"J0lOec\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"VIiyi\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"JLqJ4b ChMk0b\" data-language-for-alternatives=\"en\" data-language-to-translate-into=\"ar\" data-phrase-index=\"0\" data-number-of-phrases=\"1\"><span class=\"Q4iAWc\">The markets began to raise their expectations for the pricing of raising interest rates in the upcoming meetings, after the bank deleted its repeated phrase in all previous meetings (that the board will be patient until these conditions are met and that they are expected to be achieved in the coming years) to reflect positively on the movements of the Australian dollar.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Australian dollar is trading at its highest level since June of last year against the US dollar at 0.7618 levels before the opening of European markets.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0The Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank of Australia decided, in its meeting this morning, Tuesday, April 5th, to keep monetary policy and the current interest rates at 0.10%, unchanged as expected.
