The services PMI issued moments ago recorded its lowest level in two months in the preliminary reading for May at 55.9 points, compared to 56.2 in April, exceeding expectations that indicated an increase to 55.4, while the manufacturing index came below expectations at 44.6, retreating from April\u2019s reading of 45.8, recording lower.<\/span><\/span> level at 36 months.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the details of the Eurozone, the German Services Growth Index grew by 57.8 (expected 55.0), compared to 56.0 in April, the highest level in 21 months, while the manufacturing sector recorded a decline of 42.9 (expected 44.9), compared to 44.5 in April, the lowest level in three years.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On the other hand, the manufacturing index in France recorded a decline of 46.1, in line with expectations, compared to April’s reading of 45.6, while the service index declined to 52.8 points (expectations of 54), compared to 54.6 in April.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The UK index came in below expectations in the services and manufacturing sectors, as the manufacturing index fell to 46.9 in May from 47.8 in April, its lowest level in five months, while the services index fell to 55.1, compared to 55.9 in April’s revised reading, its lowest level in two months.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
