The US private sector lost only about 32,000 jobs in September, according to figures released just moments ago by ADP, after adding about 54,000 jobs in August, contrary to expectations of 52,000.
In detail, the construction sector lost about 5,000 jobs, the manufacturing sector lost 2,000 jobs, and the services sector lost 28,000 jobs, including 7,000 in the trade, transportation, and utilities sectors. The education and health services sector added 33,000 jobs.
