The Fed’s preferred inflation index rose to 3.3% in July

 Data released moments ago by the US Bureau of Economic Analysis showed a rise in US personal income by $45 billion in July, an increase of 0.2%.
The PCE index, the preferred indicator for measuring inflation for the US Federal Reserve, stabilized at 0.2% on a monthly basis. On the other hand, the main index rose. Excluded from food and energy prices at a rate of 0.2%.
The annual index rose to 3.3% in July compared to 3.0% in the June reading, better than expectations that indicated a rise of 2.6%. The main index excluding food and energy prices rose to 4.2% compared to 4.1% in the June reading.
