The US private sector lost approximately 32,000 jobs in November, according to figures released moments ago by ADP. This followed a gain of around 47,000 jobs in October, falling short of expectations of a 5,000 increase.
Specifically, the construction sector lost about 9,000 jobs, while the manufacturing sector lost 18,000. The professional and business services sector suffered the largest job losses within the services sector, shedding 26,000 jobs. The information sector lost 20,000 jobs, and the financial sector lost 9,000. Meanwhile, the education and healthcare services sector continued to gain jobs, adding 33,000 in November.
